Four members of the Partnership for Public Health presented pertinent health information at the second annual conference on Education and Poverty Nov. 30 at Millersville University.
Dr. Scott Silverstein gave an in-depth look at how asthma affects school-age children and their attendance and graduation rates. Dr. Alan Peterson detailed the effects of global warming on marginalized populations. Dr. Rich Clark explained the negative outcomes of air pollution on U.S. and global populations and Susan Baldrige presented the impact lead poisoning has on learning. It was a cohesive and meaningful series of presentations that could become a regular production of the Partnership in the community.
